Heart of the Valley will waive the adoption fee on cats six months or older who are adopted by a senior person (62 years and older). All applications will be reviewed according to our normal adoption process and the special fee waived adoption is limited to one cat per 12 month period. Although adoption fees are waived through this program, donations are greatly appreciated to help us continue our work.

We know that veterans can benefit greatly from the companionship that animals offer. Keeping a pet can improve physical and mental health, and reduce the stress that comes with returning home after military service. Our shelter pets can do so much to help the transition to civilian life. In return, shelter pets will find loving homes.

Heart of the Valley will waive adoption fees for veterans and their immediate families. All applications for adoption will be reviewed according to our normal adoption process and the special fee-waived adoption is limited to one pet per 12 month period. We know our veterans have served our country with honor, and we’re proud to be able to give back to them in this way.
