Sponsor an Event

Why not make Heart of the Valley your cause of choice with an individual or business sponsorship?  Sponsor benefits are generous, and your contribution will go straight to the dogs… and cats… and rabbits… at the shelter.   They’re depending on you!

All sponsors automatically become Heart of the Valley Individual/Family or Business members, receiving invitations to HOV Annual President’s Luncheon, website listing, newsletter, and member discounts.  In addition, sponsors at each level receive:

Howlin’ at the Moon Snowshoe Shuffle
(March 3, 2012)

Next year, 2012, will mark the eight anniversary of the Snowshoe Shuffle, so get ready to grab your canine companions and snowshoes and head for the hills. The Shuffle has become a favorite of Big Sky residents and tourists alike!  More than 150 guests will enjoy trekking the course with their dogs, then settle into Moonlight’s Headwaters Grille for a chili feed and $3 draft beers.  After dinner, the fun continues with music by a local favorite band, and the Barkin’ Doggy Raffle.  Each year’s prizes seem to outdo the one before.  Raffle tickets sell for $5 each or 5 for $20, and all proceeds go straight to HOV.  Tickets to the Snowshoe Shuffle are $20 per person.  Sponsorships are $1,000 each.  Sponsors are recognized on event t-shirts, in the program, and at the event itself.  For further information, contact Kathryn Hohmann, kathryn@heartofthevaleyshelter.org, (406) 388-9399, ext. 106.

The Dog Ball – Heart of the Valley’s Signature Gala (June 1, 2011)

Heart of the Valley’s signature event is well-heeled but never, never stuffy.  After all, the Dog Ball is no ordinary dinner-auction—it’s a real Montana celebration that has taken root as one of the best parties in the Gallatin and Madison valleys combined!  Held annually in early June, tickets are $150 per person.   Click here for a complete list of sponsor levels and benefits.

Sponsor a Program

With its new shelter facility, Heart of the Valley is becoming a community resource on a whole new level.   Full and partial sponsorships are available.

Heart of the Valley Volunteer Program ($25,000)

Heart of the Valley averages over 120 active volunteers at any one time.  They walk dogs, cuddle cats, write thank-you’s to donors, and much, much more.  These are community-driven people of all ages from Bozeman, Belgrade, Big Sky, and virtually every other community in the Gallatin and Madison valleys. In this first critical year in the new shelter, your sponsorship will help strengthen our volunteer training, outreach and recognition.  You will be recognized in a volunteer thank you ad in local newspapers, monthly volunteer e-newsletters, and in the Paw Prints newsletter.

Promote Adoptions with the HOV Website!  ($10,000)

Now that the shelter is built, help us build the website that will promote adoptions, provide educational materials, encourage online donations, and keep the community informed of all the great educational programs happening at the shelter.

Summer Day Camp ($10,000)

In its inaugural year in 2008, the HOV Summer Day Camp will provide 7 week-long sessions (late June to mid-August) for children ages 6 to 11. Designed for fun and educational value, camp activities will include topics on pet behavior, health and training, as well as the role of the shelter and animal careers. Sponsor advertising for the Summer Day Camp will include mailings to HOV supporters, flyers to all grade school classrooms in Bozeman and Belgrade, and Pet Pals T-shirts distributed to each camp participant.

Extend Your Reach with Paw Prints Newsletter ($2,500 per issue)

Add your imprint to a great community-wide publication!  Three times per year (February, July and October), Paw Prints is mailed to 8,000 households and distributed to key community locations.  Contents include topical articles on animal behavior and health, pet ownership, kids pages, and much, much more!
