Santa Paws (December 2010)
Bring all your four-legged friends in for a portrait with jolly old Saint Nick! Great for Christmas cards or just as wonderful keepsakes in celebration of the season - and all proceeds go toward care of the homeless pets at Heart of the Valley! Locations and dates to be announced.
Howlin’ at the Moon Snowshoe Shuffle (February 27, 2010)
The year 2010 marks the sixth anniversary of the Snowshoe Shuffle, so get ready to grab your canine companions and snowshoes and head for the hills—to Moonlight Basin, that is. The Shuffle has become a favorite of Big Sky residents and tourists alike! Guests enjoy trekking the lit course with their dogs after the slopes have closed. Moonlight’s Headwaters Grille is the site of a great chili feed and $3 draft beers. After dinner, the fun continues with music by a local favorite band, and the Barkin’ Doggy Raffle. Each year’s prizes seem to outdo the ones before. Raffle tickets sell for $5 each or 5 for $20, and all proceeds go straight to HOV. Tickets to the Snowshoe Shuffle are $20 per person. The Dog Ball (June 4, 2010)
Heart of the Valley’s signature event is well-heeled but never, never stuffy. After all, the Dog Ball is no ordinary dinner-auction—it’s a real Montana celebration that has taken root as one of the best parties in the Gallatin and Madison valleys combined! The 2010 Dog Ball will take place at Riverside Country Club on Friday, June 4, 2010. Tickets are $150 per person. Invitations are sent to HOV members, volunteers, donors and friends, and all are welcome. Guests will enjoy a fully hosted cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by a seated dinner, live auction, and a night of dancing and fun! The party begins at 6:30 p.m. on June 4, 2010. Family- and pet-friendly and free to the public!
It’s all happening September 11, 2010 at Heart of the Valley Animal shelter! Woofstock is a family- and pet-friendly community festival for people of all ages, a full day of fun with pets, music, food, kids’ activities, adoptathons, contests, demonstrations and a celebration of the love between humans and pets! Woofstock '09 was a huge success, with over 3,500 people and 1,000 dogs!
