Create a 'Masterpiece'
Do you like to paint or draw? Create a colorful and creative work of art that tells the story of the Heart of the Valley. A cat or dog portrait perhaps? A picture of you and your favorite pet?
When you are finished, Contact HOV's volunteer manager at volunteer@heartofthevalleyshelter.org, or give her a call at 388-9399 ext. 105.
Let's set up a time for you to come to the shelter and hang your 'masterpiece' for everyone to see!
Help raise money for the shelter:
From "penny drives" at your school to lemonade stands or bake sales, there are lots of ways you can raise much-needed funds for the dogs and cats at the animal shelter. Click here for some great ideas to get started!
Educate yourself and others:
The only way for us to create a more humane world is to spread knowledge and kindness to more people. If everyone understands the importance of spaying and neutering, or why every pet should have ID tags, we might have a lot less homeless pets! Start by checking out a book from your local library.
