When completing an application for a Junior Volunteer, you must also submit an application for the Designated Parent/Guardian with whom they will be volunteering with. Junior Volunteers and their parents/guardians fit in the Cat Cuddling Program. Applications for minors must be completed with the assistance of the Parent or Guardian with whom they will be volunteering. Each Junior Volunteer must also be accompanied by their designated adult throughout their volunteer experience. The Designated Parent/Guardian application, below, is intended for these animal-loving adults who will be sharing in the volunteer experience. Due to safety reasons in the Main Adoption room there is a 2:1 youth to adult ratio for families who would like to volunteer together.
Junior Volunteer Applications will not be accepted unless an application for the Designated Parent/Guardian is also submitted. If the last name of the designated parent/guardian differs from the Junior Volunteer, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org so the application admission process can begin.
The PAW Program is for volunteers age 16+ who want to work directly with the shelter’s cats and dogs. Help the shelter animals while they wait for their new homes! We ask for a 6 month, 4 hour per month commitment. Applications for minors must be completed with the assistance of their Parent or Guardian.
Community Service volunteers play an instrumental role in efficient shelter operations.
Your business or organization can volunteer together at Heart of the Valley! Single days of service can be arranged for groups of 5 or more.
