Shelter Tours
Heart of the Valley invites all members of the community to experience the animal shelter!
Staff-guided or Volunteer-guided tours are available for groups of people from clubs, service organizations, schools, and more. Tours are a great way to learn more about the shelter and meet some new animal friends! Guided tours are free to all.
Due to limited staff availability, all group tours must be scheduled in advance by contacting the Volunteer & Education Manager at 388-9399 extension 105 or volunteer@heartofthevalleyshelter.org
Pet Pals Kids Club
Heart of the Valley is proud to present Pet Pals – the club that helps animals!
Pet Pals is a fun way for kids aged 6-12 to get involved at the shelter and learn all about animals. Membership is $15.00 per year, and benefits include a Pet Pals T-shirt, a shelter pet sponsorship, and free admission to monthly educational Pet Pals events at the shelter. Summer Day Camp
Introducing the summer day camp for kids who love animals!
Designed for kids aged 6-12 who love their animal friends, this fun and educational camp features hands-on learning about pets, how to be a responsible pet owner, and the role of the shelter. Meet animal care practitioners, guest speakers, and of course the wonderful animals at the shelter! Pet-themed games, crafts and snacks round out the perfect week of animal fun!

Birthday Parties
Heart of the Valley is pleased to offer the Community Room at the shelter for birthday celebrations. All guests will enjoy a fun and educational hands-on animal experience, along with the knowledge that they have helped the homeless pets in their community!
The Community Room rental fee is $75.00 for a 3-hour period. Please note that all reservations are subject to availability.
